1.55-acre island on Lake of the Woods. This is a classic ‘Canadian Shield’ island with granite rock outcroppings and mature red and white pines. The cabin is 584 sq. ft. and has two bedrooms and one bathroom with a sink and composting toilet. Nice 8x16 ft. screen room off the front of the cabin with a great view over the lake. Next to the cabin is a shower house with a hot water tank and fridge. Foundation work under the cabin including new concrete footings on bedrock was completed in 2023. Also completed in 2023 were a new deck, entrance door, and metal roofing.  Protected docking on the east side of the island consists of a shoreline deck with a ramp to a floating dock. Just up from the dock is an 8x12 ft. sun deck with a great view.  This island is located about 11 kilometres (7 miles) north of Morson, and just south of Miles Bay. Services include: Water is drawn from the lake, pumped to a water tower, and gravity fed to the cabin. Electricity is provided by a portable gas generator. Heat is provided by a wood-burning stove. Propane cooking stove. There is a composting toilet and an outdoor privy.
