1 WASAN R40 N/A

About This Property

Picture the calm and quiet of the morning, your coffee warm in your hands, as the mists lift off beautiful Lake Rosseau. This is what it feels like to wake up on Wasan Island, a private island in the famous Venetian Group of Islands in the heart of Muskoka. Wasan Island is not just a cottage, it is 7 acres of your own private world, wrapped in 2,500 feet of untouched shoreline, shielded from the world on three sides. Close your eyes and picture it. Grandchildren racing down granite paths to the swim dock. Aunts and uncles gathered on the porch of the Lodge as the sky turns pink over the water. The smell of a wood fire drifting from the Main Cottage, and laughter carrying across the lake at dusk. Ten buildings hold 21 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms in all, so every generation of your family has a place to call their own, together yet never crowded. By day, swim off the sandy coves, paddle the cove, or take the boat out from one of two boathouses. By evening, gather in the games room for a movie or a game of pool, then soak in the hot tub under a sky full of stars. Walk winding trails past granite outcrops to a gazebo built just for watching the sunset fall behind the pines. Every corner of this island was built for gathering, laughing, and making memories that last long after summer ends. Here is what makes Wasan truly rare. This island already comes divided into two separate lots, a gift few private islands anywhere can offer. Keep it whole, and pass down one grand family legacy for generations still to come. Or dream bigger, building anew on the second lot for grown children, guests, or simply more room to grow into over time, on your own terms and your own timeline. Reached only by private boat, Wasan feels like its own quiet world, yet stays close to Port Carling and Muskoka's finest marinas. This is not simply a property for sale. It is the lifestyle so many dream of, and so few ever find, and the start of a story only you can write.
